If Seattle is known for one thing, it’s the rain. Lucky for us, we have four Chocolati Cafés serving up the best gloomy-day solution: hot chocolate.
There are no words in the English language to describe my love of this local chain. Offering every type of chocolate sweet imaginable, from truffles and pastries to chocolate coated fortune cookies, it’s a sugar paradise. Without a doubt their hot chocolate is the best in the city, with flavors ranging from salted caramel and peanut butter, to Darth Vader (dark chocolate with raspberry syrup). My personal favorite is the house hot chocolate, topped with fresh whipped cream.
Not only will a visit to Chocolati satiate your sweet tooth, but the atmosphere is cozy and a perfect place to answer emails or read a book. They’re one of the few cafés open past 18:00 with strong wifi and plenty of chairs and tables.
While I haven’t been to the downtown location, here are some tips on the three others: Greenwood is the largest, and open the latest (the hours on this article are based off of this location), perfect for night owls or an after-dinner treat. Hit up the Green Lake shop before strolling around the lake, and the Wallingford location is just steps away from the photogenic Wallingford sign
