Spotter since 2023
About me
I am currently a student of philology, loving the process of learning and discovering. When I'm not trying to fit working out into my schedule, I'm either reading books, playing video games, visiting new places in Riga with friends, or trying to pick up and refine a new skill. My drive and motivation stem from both a desire to better myself and from the knowledge that I had made an impact on someone else's life. Even now, many years later, those times when I was able to assist tourists trying to find their way around certain Riga spots were the time that filled me with joy.
Why Riga?
Riga is a city with a unique history on the banks of the River Daugava, being at the epicenter of the Northern Crusades. And, although I am a lover of history, my love affair with Riga started in my teen years, finally leaving the house and finding the sights of passing trams and stalwart houses hypnotizing. Now I find myself going on walks and looking through Google Maps just to see new and exciting ways to traverse the city streets, visiting new shops and eateries along the way.

It is an experience that takes you back many decades. You can sit in an old-school bus and drive through the Latvian countryside or ring up a soviet-era phone booth to listen to anecdotes.

Biķernieku forest is truly a place where you can find yourself getting lost, taking in the scent of pine, and realizing that you might just be the only soul on the horizon.

The interior is decorated with sports memorabilia, beer slogans, and posters that add a touch of Latvian culture to the walls, hugged by wooden frames.

The layered brick walls, shelves, and ceiling are painted white, giving the interior a contemporary, modern feel. One which invokes a sense of business and a desire to get things done.

Lunch offers here cannot go unnoticed, offering both a reasonable price and an exciting array of soups, dishes, and sweets that you didn't even know you wanted to try.

Honey Cake is my pet peeve and their cranberry one felt like the best I've had in ages, not to mention the sleek atmosphere in which I could enjoy it.

You'll find their brand spread far and wide across Latvian stores, but it is here, straight from the tap, where you'll get the most authentic experience.
