About me
Born in Italy, brought up in England, France and Switzerland, I'm currently following a master's degree in journalism in Paris. I hope to pursue a career as a reporter on international affairs and geopolitics, but whenever I'm not fixating on what is going on in the world, I'm usually looking for new bars and cafés in the city.
I have a soft spot for old-timey, vintage-looking bars that make me feel like I'm living in a different time zone than the rest of the world. Thankfully, Paris has many of those, tucked away in various street corners, and I'm happy to share them with you! I'm also very passionate about photography and creative writing, two hobbies that keep me quite busy as I wander around town.
Why Paris?
Ahhh Paris..... or as I call it, my toxic relationship. I came here, like many others, for love. Or at least whatever kind of a love an 18 year old girl could dream of at such age... A love that was, albeit, never reciprocated (he never showed up). Thankfully, I also started a bachelor's degree in Philosophy and Economics at la Sorbonne, the latter justifying my sticking around town. This and many strangers that have now become my family. After my bachelor's degree, as I was laying over a counter at one of my favorite bars, babbling on about what would be the "next great step" of my life, the idea of becoming a journalist popped into my head, and never left. So, despite the many ups and downs me and Paris have been through, it remains the only city where I have grown the most, learnt the most, and, perhaps, first felt at home.
