The EVC Memorial is situated in Pirita district, about 10 minutes away from the city center by public transportation. It was built last year, so it is brand new and still not really well known.
The sea is just about 100 meters away from the memorial, so you can always feel the fresh breeze while you're there. I do suggest you visit this place, because in my opinion it is really important and a good opportunity to have a better understanding of the newer history of Estonia. Moreover, it is great for walking around in and to exploring the area, as the memorial is the first of its kind in Estonia that uses the landscape as a part of itself. I won't give any value judgments considering the historical events on which this memorial is based -- everyone will reach their own conclusions after visiting the memorial.
I recommend visiting it because it is an interesting place to walk, different from the usual ones, and to get some new knowledge. The information there is provided in 3 languages: Estonian, English and Russian. It is also possible to come by car; some park places are provided as well.
