Nõmme Sports Center is a well-loved recreational hub in Tallinn, Estonia, nestled in a peaceful green forest setting. Open year-round, it offers a variety of activities for all seasons and ages. Visitors can enjoy running and skiing tracks or cycling, an indoor gym, ball courts, a treetop adventure park, and a public open-air swimming pool.
This place has a special meaning for me — I’ve been coming here since childhood with my parents to swim and relax. Not much has changed, except the renovated pools. Now I bring my own children here, and we even celebrated my daughter’s first birthday in this lovely spot. It’s perfect for a family day: you can swim, sunbathe, or warm up in the cozy wood-fired hot tub if you get chilly.
We often stop by the cafe, where the daily soup is always hearty and flavorful. And if you haven’t yet tried the Estonian dessert Kirju koer ("Spotted Dog"), I highly recommend it — a nostalgic cake with marmalade pieces inside. I treat myself to it with coffee every time we visit.
Surrounded by forest and filled with memories, Nõmme Sports Center is not just for sports, but also for quiet moments, family traditions, and small joys.
