Although I am a digital designer, I still like to touch the structure and smell the scent of paper-made goods. In these fast times, it gives me a feeling of nostalgia and relaxation. “Papier” (the German word for paper) near Rabin Square is one of those places where you can find a lot of interesting little things.
The former print shop was turned in 2013 into a monochromatic store in black, white and brown. All products in the store are locally designed and made by the two designers Sharon Brunsher and Shiran Rockaway. You will not only find paper goods but everything graphical from masking tape to candles to t-shirts. Some things are even recycled from leftovers of the printing process, like a keyring with an original metal type element hanging from it. Or check out the collection with the Skyline of Tel Aviv on pencils, postcards and notebooks. Or would you prefer the black soap with typography on it?
