A few months ago, when I heard there's a new bar around that is also a pizzeria, I thought it was a little strange. I take my pizza very seriously: it needs its own oven and specialty.
Well, turns out it is possible to serve an excellent pizza and also be a cool bar. It starts with the bar: most of the seats are outside, on a long balcony that is covered with cushions. You can sit cross-legged, looking at the street and enjoying your beer. And speaking of beer, they have a really cool variety of draft beer, including Malka which is my favorite (an excellent Israeli boutique brewery).
And then you order your pizza. Turns out they have a chef that used to cook for an Italian restaurant and made the pizzas, and he knows what he's doing. He put up a menu with quite some unique pizzas, like the Romanian (with corn cream, artichoke, pickled onions and truffles) and the Russian (beet dough with cream of blue cheese, pickled salmon and walnuts). And of course, a really good vegan one with coconut cream. It's thin, crispy and so tasty! It's a really great place to come early in the evening for dinner and stay longer for the beer.
