A store for vinyl lovers
Since old vinyl records came back into fashion, crate diggers and music lovers can find all sorts of old and rare music gems in Tel Aviv’s new record stores.
Beatnik Records is one of those stores and it's one of the places I like to go to whenever I'm in Florentin. That’s the part of the city where you'd expect to find an old school record store ;) It's located opposite the Hoodna Bar.
Beatnik has a large selection of records in all popular genres, from classic pop and rock to hip hop and jazz, plus local Middle Eastern music. Some records are new and many are second hand, so it's a great place for collectors and those looking for rarities.
On my last visit, I was surprised to see they also sell tapes and some cool music memorabilia and music books.
The store has a friendly vibe and a nostalgic feel to it, with turntables, coffee and other music enthusiasts to meet and chat with.
