This spacious park in the south of Tel Aviv is home to a large green space, the highlight of which is its big and very active water ski park.
When I first heard about this park, I wanted to go see it but couldn’t find it! It is huge, but somehow concealed behind rows of rather boring looking residential buildings that one has to cross in order to reach the park.
Once you get there, though, it’s well worth the search. It's the kind of place to spend long hours in, relaxing and escaping the noise and the crowds of the city. It’s especially perfect on a hot summer day and it is now one of my favourite green spots in Tel Aviv.
The water ski park is called “Lake TLV”. Water skiing is fun and fascinating to watch (and I’m sure it’s fun to take part in as well if you’re into extreme sports). Other than the water skiing, there are other sports facilities, a dog park, cycling lanes and lots of green grass to chill on under the trees.
