About me
Bruce Wayne’s specialty was stopping crime in Gotham City as Batman. Clark Kent’s specialty was saving the world as Superman. And my specialty? I like to think it’s saving people from going to bad restaurants.

Yes, if I had an alter ego, it would probably be FoodGirl (to be determined if this comes with tights and a cape). While I spend my days sitting in an office, I like to spend as much of my off time as possible devoted to food – whether it’s trying new restaurants, trying new recipes or watching the Food Network.

Oh, and since every superhero needs a sidekick, FoodGirl’s sidekick is my dog, Hunter. He loves food too.

Why Toronto?
I was born and raised in Toronto and by the time I was in grade 12, the one thing I knew was that I wanted to get out of Toronto. I spent 10 years away from this city – I lived in Vancouver, B.C., Halifax, N.S. and traveled as much as I could.

When I moved back in 2012, I fell in love with this city. Having been away and experiencing other places made me realize how lucky I was to call Toronto “home”. My favourite thing about this city is the diverse food options – I can eat Ethiopian food on Monday, Thai on Tuesday, Indian on Wednesday, Korean on Thursday….well you get the idea.

Other things I love about Toronto are the different neighbourhoods (Kensington, Little Portugal, the Danforth, Parkdale, Chinatown, etc.), the eclectic energy and vibe of the city and the fact that it is a big cosmopolitan city with new things popping up all the time. I don’t think it is possible to be bored in Toronto which makes it the perfect place to live or visit!
