Bellona Kitchen has been so well received in Toronto that it recently opened its second location, which I’m personally very excited about since it’s closer to the downtown core! You might think that Italian dishes done vegan/vegetarian are almost possible to do well, but Bellona Kitchen will prove you wrong! The lovely couple who owns the restaurant are doing it right… Delicious food made with love from pure ingredients served in an incredible, intimate dining experience you won’t forget!
From hand-crafted pizzas to fresh pastas, many of which are or can be made vegan upon request, there’s no shortage of options, hence my having to go back nearly monthly. On my most recent visit, I tried their incredible vegan “meatball” sliders and have been dreaming about them ever since!
Their original location on Jane might be a little far if you’re just visiting the city, so I’d recommend checking out their newer College location in Little Italy, an area of Toronto that’s definitely worth a stop. And if you’re looking for a deal, they offer a lovely fixed-price three-course meal in their “Cantina” for just $27, a price point practically unheard of in Toronto!
