A taste of Barcelona
A famous Dutch saying goes, "better stolen well than badly invented". This is exactly the case with Champañeria Los Amigos. People who have visited the famous Can Paixano (or Xampanyeria as most people know it) bar in the cozy Barcelonetta neighbourhood of Barcelona will instantly see where the owners of Los Amigos got their inspiration. Cheap but decent cava by the bottle, cheap vermut (note the Catalan spelling), very tasty bar bites, simple interior, etc., etc. Nothing fancy, nothing out of the ordinary, just simple things done right.
I find this the perfect place to go on holiday in my own city. And to be honest, also the perfect place to get drunk with friends while snacking on canned sardines, pimientos de padron, jamon, olives and other Spanish delicacies.
