Moira is a unique formerly-squatted building located in the heart of the city. While still providing housing for a cooperative living group, Moira has also blossomed into a cool cultural venue with music, theater, discussion nights and workshops. They also host parties every now and then. The basement of the building is huge, and this is where the events take place. It’s not open every day, so make sure to check out the schedule on their website or Instagram. The entrance to the building is a bit confusing: it’s not the big door in the middle of the building but a smaller door in the building to the right, which leads you down to the basement.
A good recommendation for a rainy Wednesday evening is to visit their open mic. This is a real hidden gem hosted every Wednesday at 19:00 and is listed on a separate Instagram. Most of the show is singer-songwriters performing their own material. If you want to spot some local talent, this is the place. And if you bring an instrument, you will definitely be asked to play
