Pioneers in natural wine
Natural wine is hip and happening amongst the creative class of modern cities across the world (what Dutch people call the "Havermelkelite", the 'oat milk elite'), but we have to give credit where credit is due.
As far as I know, Vleck was one of the first shops in The Netherlands to deal in natural wine, probably before people even called it like this. The place is unpretentious and far from fancy or hip but is highly regarded amongst wine aficionados.
They supply many of the restaurants and bars in Utrecht and its surroundings, and the shop is excellent. It has a wide selection of wines and many stories to tell about them.
