Ambar, a beloved bottomless brunch spot in Eastern Market, just finished a big renovation that began even before COVID. This restaurant is my go-to birthday celebration spot and I always had to make a reservation a month in advance. Reservations are still highly encouraged but with newly expanded seating inside and outside, it's a spot you can't miss.
For $39.99, guests can enjoy bottomless Balkan-inspired tapas and drinks. Drinks include a Bloody Mary and three different flavors of mimosas. My favorite is the peach lavender but you can mix and match throughout the meal. The menu features egg dishes, dip spreads, flatbreads, waffles, and more. Plates are small so order a couple of each if you have a big group. My favorites are the strawberry waffles, cinnamon sweet sourdough, mini burger, and salmon benedict.
Ambar in Capitol Hill is open for brunch on Saturday and Sunday from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm with a 2-hour time limit. Brunch ends promptly at 3:30 so don't make your reservation later than 1:30. Bottomless tapa options are also available for dinner.
