BBQ in Seattle you say? I know Seattle is located far from the BBQ homeland but as a Texan I occasionally crave some slow-cooked smoked meat.
The smokey scents emanating from the brick pit will draw you and the neighborhood into this establishment. Frank’s has a Midwest feel, the narrow space’s worn brick walls adorned with blues’ and jazz’s greatest. Frank’s definitely caters to take-out, which is a good excuse to visit Standard Brewing down the street or hang out in one of the nearby parks. Place your order at the window or like most of the locals do, call it in.
As for the BBQ, the PNW has rather muddled the different styles of BBQ but that’s quite alright. Service is always quick and the hospitality is downright southern and warm!
Heads up: the portions are generous, even a BBQ-deprived Texan consistently has leftovers. Happy chowing.
