About me
I’m Aarin, a recent college grad working in the Seattle music industry. I was born and grew up in the suburban East Side of Seattle, and spent most of my childhood dreaming of moving across Lake Washington. I finally made that leap in 2016 and am loving living in the city-proper.
Outside of work I enjoy attending concerts, volunteering at local radio stations, running long distances and hunting down the remaining bars in the city where you can buy a pint for under $5. I’m also a big fan of travel when financially possible, so discovering cheap & affordable activities in my own city is a favorite pastime.
Why Seattle
I’ve always wanted to live “in” Seattle since I grew up just 20 minutes away. The city is known for its music scene, proximity to nature and pretentious obsession with coffee–three things I’m passionate about.
As the city’s population grows and large corporations take over more & more, it’s become more difficult to find low-cost places to eat, drink & explore. However finding an affordable, enjoyable spot can feel like stumbling upon gold, and it’s something I love sharing with my personal community. And hopefully now the community of Spotted By Locals!
