Walking down the creaky stairs of Kina Li, the jumble of plastic flowers, postcards and neon signs is soon upon you. Once down in the basement, the various knick-knacks on countless shelves really keeps your eyes busy and the lust to shop unnecessary stuff fed.
Kina Li is located at one of the busiest streets on Södermalm and is the largest importer of Asian products and groceries in Sweden. On the outside it looks like a forlorn tobacco shop or some sort of fallen wholesale, and I guess that's why it gets overlooked by most passersby and stays uncrowded.
I find Kina Li unique due to its timeless assortment as well as atmosphere and beautiful mess. This store is as good for groceries shopping, birthday present hunting, food, as well as broadening your interior and cultural horizons. You could easily botanize in here forever, unable to stop poking on all the cute things in even cuter packaging.
