"Order Sichuan" restaurant in Amsterdam Noord is such an amazing discovery. It is a Chinese restaurant that offers authentic Sichuan food and wine. The name is Order Sichuan, yes! After having been to China, I was delighted to discover this spot! Their small menu offers plenty of delicious Sichuan-inspired dishes and has vegan options too (and if you like spicy food, this is the place to be).
It is a collaboration between the Amsterdam-based collective ORDER and an Amsterdam-based Sichuan restaurant that has existed since the '90s. Order Sichuan has an artistic, colorful vibe and offers a terrace where you can enjoy the sunset while overlooking Amsterdam Central station. It feels so magical and peaceful to be on the other side of the Ij river.
You can get there by taking one of the ferries from Amsterdam Central Station and walking (it takes 15 minutes in total). Check out the ferry schedules on Google Maps, which is usually accurate. Finally, one thing to note is that they accept only PIN payments, so make sure to take that into consideration.
