This secret diamond has been around since 2003 in a neoclassical building dating back to 1890. As you pass by it is not obvious that this spot has so much potential. The "Agyra Publications" hosts the "Rota Art Coffee Community" and contains multiple areas of activity: a bookstore and coffee bar on the ground floor, a space for shows for kids in the basement, a room for various types of events a the floor which also hides a small space in the back for more private events.
With very good prices and very friendly owners, this multiplex seems ideal for reading, lounging and coffee, a leisurely drink but also for parties, evenings with live music or theatrical performances. The roof of the courtyard opens in summer and unless you prefer the classic tables, you can sit on the terrace or in the island 'alternative' stairs. It has the same atmosphere in winter, so do not hesitate whatever the season.
Here I enjoy Greek coffee with mastic flavor when I am reading a book and the desserts are very delicious too. This place has the feeling of old Athens and this is what I enjoy most. Especially in summer when the roof opens. So if I'm searching for a quiet place in the centre of Athens, you'll probably find me here...

Teras is full of contradictions: it is unconventionally named (teras means 'monster' in greek) in an ugly way but it is one of the most beautiful places to enjoy your drink.
