If there is a confectionery shop I have been going to since I was a child, and I still like it as much as that time, this one is Roxanita.
Located very close to the metro station "Dimotiko Theatre" (blue line) and 10 minutes on foot from the port, Roxanita is the place if you want a special sweet snack. Among all its sweets I really like, and keep eating them for many years, a sweet full of chocolate called "negrakia"! You can ask for a few pieces or take a kilo and share it with friends and family!
I also adore their "bougatsa", a pie full of vanilla cream. And if they ask you if you want to add sugar and cinnamon, please say yes!
For me, visiting Roxanita is a trip with a time machine as the flavours of the sweets have not changed in the last 30 years. I keep visiting this place! Enjoy!
