What are you in the mood for? Maybe some herbal tea? How about some local nougat or amardeen (a sticky, peachy dessert)? I know, you're looking for some chocolate-coated almonds! Well, whatever it is, Garo's got it.
This little shop has been around for a while and is run by an older couple. They sell all kinds of spices like curry, different types of dried thyme, local delights such as nougat and chocolate, herbs like chamomile and zhourat, dates, among others. While the space might be small, the place is definitely rich, and the experience is made richer when talking to the old lady running the place. She's super friendly and extremely helpful. Be sure to come expecting to leave with a big bag, as you definitely won't be able to stop at just one item!
When you're done with your shopping, you'll notice different places along the same street in Bourj Hammoud worth a visit, and for lunch, don't hesitate on trying Ghazar (reservation is advised) or Farouj!
