"I enjoy going to "Gibran Khalil Gibran Garden" in downtown Beirut - I admire the sculptures done by Saloua Raouda Choucair and the trees & benches..."

Little do locals or Lebanese residents know about this hidden garden in the heart of Downtown Beirut. Gibran Khalil Gibran garden's entrance gate is even misleading due to the existence of the UN-ESCWA and the huge cement wall on one side of it for security reasons.

Gibran Khalil Gibran garden is named in honor of the Lebanese–American poet and philosopher Gibran Khalil Gibran who passed away in 1931.

Even though it is amidst concrete, I enjoy going there to admire the sculptures done by Saloua Raouda Choucair, a Lebanese artist, and the trees and comfortable benches inside, especially on weekend mornings!

Be careful when taking pictures of the Gibran Khalil Gibran garden to not have the UN-ESCWA building in them, because I once did that and someone from the security came up to me and asked for my ID, because God forbid anyone knows about this building.
