I have special memories of this spot. I spent my first night as a married woman in this hotel. It is the only Relais & Chateau property in the country, a small boutique hotel nested in the heart of Achrafieh. Entering the gate supported by two pillars will make you feel like reaching a new world, an oasis full of greenery in the middle of the concrete city. The location allows you to experience so many of Beirut's attractions on foot. There is the National Museum, Beit Beirut museum, Sursock museum, Saint George Cathedral, downtown Beirut... everything reachable just by walking. The building itself is a nice old historical oriental house offering 25 luxurious hotel rooms with handpicked furniture. Some of the rooms have tiny balconies where you can sit, contemplate, sip your drink and watch the busy city below you.
I really love the view from the rooftop on the city that spreads out in front of you. You feel the two contrasting worlds connecting. The old one where everything is slow and laid back and the modern hectic one represented by the skyscrapers in the skyline view. The rooftop lounge provides relaxation at the pool with a cocktail, coffee or a small snack. The hotel veranda is a nice option for sunset dinner or a drink. The prices differ by season and room type, so check their website.
A wellness spa is being planned for 2020, as well as a gym.
