During my kids' adaptation period at the nursery, I tried nearly every coffee and breakfast place in Gemmayze. This is the area where the nursery was and I had to stay close in case of disaster :) Sip is by far my favorite. I would classify it as a typical hipster urban coffee shop. It is nestled in the heart of Gemmayze in an old pinkish building. The interior is stylish and modern -- I love the small urban terrace/garden in the backyard with a few tables to sit and some comfortable couch-style seatings. The crowd is young and looks sophisticated -- some people working on their laptops, some engaging in informal conversation. The whole scenery is cool and laid back.
You can enjoy a nice breakfast or a snack there. They have a variety of sandwiches/bagels and desserts. But what the place is really about is the SIP of coffee you can really use. They certainly are coffee gurus. Sip offers different blends and different types of coffee in terms of preparation and brewing. My recent favorite is the filtered Mexican blend (the offer is constantly updated).
They also do offer quite interesting varieties of teas as well and if your day has gone terrible or if you just have a reason to celebrate, you can have a sip of wine (there is always a reason to have a glass of wine, whether positive or negative :). The staff is truly helpful and knowledgeable -- don't hesitate to take their advice.
