While strolling down the street of Hamra, the sign of The Bruvs caught my eye. I hadn't seen it before. So I asked my friend about it and he replied that this restaurant must be newly opened. We continued our walk and came back to try the food out. Yes, I am a vegetarian and this joint is a burger restaurant. But I had figured they would have at least a few salads from which I would take my pick...
The ambiance was somehow cozy with soft music in the background. It was not crowded, unlike all the other places we had passed by and the service was very good. Our waiter advised us well. We had the beetroot salad with goat cheese, which was served on 2 plates since we wanted to share it. And it was a very generous portion for each one of us. Then my friend ate the chicken sandwich which he said was delicious, while I enjoyed the Bruvs pasta, which was creamy, cheesy, and simply yummy! To our surprise, dessert was offered on the house. So we enjoyed the pain perdu that was soft on the inside and crunchy on the side with some vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce. A hearty dinner indeed that kept me full till the next afternoon!
