"Raum&Zeit" (Space and Time) is a tiny open-air bar in a transformed shipping container. It's located next to an artificial duck pond and is part of a remarkable park in the Bernese suburbia of Köniz.

Lately, the place has turned from an exclusive community center for the surrounding Liebefeld neighborhood (Liebefeld translates into "field of love" - isn't that cute?) to a hip place for urban crowds to hang out, have a drink and cool down in a beach chair before heading back to the city as soon as the sun has set.

The transformation of the bar was introduced by the crew of the Piazza-Bar, which has been running the place since the 2019 season. The menu is still as small as the container-kitchen - there are a couple of tasty snacks and a lot of summery drinks available. The change in management did not go unnoticed since the crew is very well connected in the music (especially hip-hop) scene — therefore, the ducks in the pond have witnessed a fair amount of legendary concerts going on in the past couple of summers.

Besides the bar, there's also quite a nice park. Once, the giant lawn belonged to a federal research institution that tried to find out how to drain more milk out of cows (my god, that is soo Swiss...). In the past years, it was surrounded by interesting architecture and equipped with a playground, trees, and different sculptures. A perfect place for a barefoot summer Sunday afternoon. Enjoy :-)
