Last week we drove our little stealth camping van from Amsterdam to Athens, and to investigate some “2nd and 3rd largest” cities in Europe, and see if they’d be a good fit to expand to.
We visited Brno (Czechia), Szeged (Hungary), Novi Sad (Serbia) and Bitola (Northern Macedonia). We haven’t decided which ones we’re going to expand to. But please apply if you’re from one of these lovely cities 🙂
We drove through 8 countries (The Netherlands, Germany, Czechia, Slovakia, Hungary, Serbia, Northern Macedonia & Greece) without any problems. And within the EU, there were no border controls at all. We only had to do a COVID test before we could enter Greece (a temporary measure for during the holidays. But, there’s sun and it’s 17 degrees Celsius!).
In all the countries we visited (except for The Netherlands) culture, bars & restaurants continue to operate quite normally. Except on Christmas day in Brno Czechia!
It seemed like we were one of the very few tourists in the destinations we visited. We really recommend you to take advantage of the few travelers in this season if you have the opportunity!
