Our Europe trip – City 1: Hamburg!

First leg: Amsterdam – Osnabrueck – Hamburg!

This week, we started our very exciting 2 month Interrail trip to meet Spotters in 26 cities in Europe. The first city we visited: Hamburg Germany!

Unfortunately all Spotters but Melanie could not join the Spotters meeting, but that gave us the opportunity to get to know our newest Spotter (and her very nice boyfriend Matthias) a lot better. We met in their very cool apartment – what a special exclusive and cosy Spotters meeting!

Rote Flora – Hamburg squatting lives on

Of course we visited as many of our locals’ favorite spots as we could… Our Spotted by Locals app directed us first to Oma’s Apotheke, where we had our “welcome to Hamburg” beers!

On Easter Monday we had a very appropriate (I think) Middle Eastern dinner at the very local and friendly Azeitona. On the ground, no shoes, as it should be!

Elbgold Kaffee Hamburg

One of the best coffees we’ve had in a while was at the Elbgold Kaffee (“would you like your espresso with a sweet or smokey roast?”). It’s there we met our hopefully soon to be introduced new Spotter Elizabeth…
