Introducing our interns & temporary office space

Social media team Thomas & Martin in our home office

We’re working with a great team of interns now – about time to introduce them!

Martin Sollmann is originally from Germany, but has lived in Amsterdam for almost two decades. He’s one of our Amsterdam Spotters, and helping us with his expertise on social media as a temporary social media manager.

Thomas dos Reis Faria is originally from Brazil, but has lived in many places around the world. He’s currently a Media & Culture student in Utrecht, and works with us as a social media & Marketing intern.

Kristina Kukhalashvili is originally from Russia, but lives in Finland. She’s currently in the Netherlands for 2 weeks to start up her Social media & Marketing internship with us. This summer, she will continue to work for us from Saint Petersburg. She’s determined to make us famous in Russia!

Interns Thomas & Kristina

Since Sanne and I travel a lot to meet our locals around the world in person (6 months a year we’re not in Amsterdam), it doesn’t make sense for us to rent an office space. Also, we like being flexible.

We usually work from our living room table at home (see above) or coffee shops. But with our current team of 6 freelancers & interns we work with intensively our “home office” just isn’t big enough anymore. The good folks of cool Amsterdam travel startup Bohemian birds have been so kind to lend us some office space for a few weeks!

It’s an old office building (Parnassus Toren), that is now rented out to startups.

Quite spartan, but very inspirational. And just hundreds of meters from the most expensive office buildings in Amsterdam (Zuid-as baby!).

To compensate for the Spartan-ness, we went out for drinks and a good dinner at Pata Negra this week. We’re super happy with our team!

Want to work with us as an intern? We’re always looking for people who want to learn more about (and from who we can learn about) social media, marketing, design and tech! Check out this document for more information, and contact us!
