National Library of Kosovo (by Art Koci)
Our 71st city guide – Spotted by Locals Prishtina – is a special one: the capital city of the newest country in Europe: Kosovo! It’s not only the youngest capital but also the capital of the country with the youngest population (42% of the population is under 24 years old!).
We absolutely encourage you to go there soon. We were there in January on a Balkan Interrail trip to meet our team of Spotters – it’s a city with a truly unique vibe, a unique history, and a booming nightlife scene. And there are very few tourists still!
A few of the spots our 4 Prishtina Spotter pioneers have written about:
- Liburnia – a truly local and very atmospheric restaurant. Spotted by Shkendie.
- Studenti Burketori – the best burek in town according to Art (or is the best Burektore Picadilly, spotted by Vesa?)
- MHz/BASStore Club – the place to dance and drink with locals all night long.
