Well, it was really something! We – Spotters united by the one and only Spotted by Locals – came to Tel Aviv to celebrate Purim. Purim, the most joyful and fun holiday among Israelis, is like a Jewish Halloween. Everybody dresses up, depending on how far your imagination would take you.

Some take this tradition really seriously, making up unique and original costumes to show their individuality, and some are just eager to maintain the spirit of the celebration, choosing something small.

So, we just got into the mood of this perfect spring holiday, and let it go! Tel Aviv is an extremely beautiful city, with a Mediterranean soul, and Middle-Eastern vibe. After just a couple of days you feel at home here.

Well, we, Spotters from 7 different cities really did! Daniela and Giulia from Rome, Ayla and Kleo from Munich, Paul from Paris, Angelina from Sofia, Sabrina from Vienna, and me, Maria from Moscow, received a warm welcome from Telavivians Igor, Reuven, Sheilla, and Idan.

They created a great program of diverse activities, like dancing and parties, traditional hummus and falafel, city tours around the most interesting areas in Tel-Aviv, and, of course, it included visiting some Spots from Spotted by Locals!

These days were like a never-ending fun, reminding me a lot of the Spotters Weekend in Athens. It’s so great that the Tel Aviv Spotters found time and strength to spend this magnificent 2017 Purim with us. I believe all of us who attended are now looking forward next meetings with Spotters around the world!

More pics? Giulia from Rome reported live during the weekend on our Instagram account!
