Our North America trip: City 1 – Vancouver

2 days after we finished our trip to 22 cities in Europe, we left again for a new trip to meet our Spotters in 11 North American cities. What a job we have…

Craft beer everywhere…

33 Acres Brewing Vancouver

Our Spotters Sean and Kjell are really into one of the latest trends in Vancouver: craft beer. You will definitely become enthusiastic too if you read how much they know about the liquid gold, and the amazing little breweries they spotted like Steel & Oak, Postmark Brewing and many others…

Our personal favorite was 33 Acres Brewing Company – of course because of the great beers, but we also really liked the very cool minimalistic design of the place.

Strong coffee everywhere

Vancouver is crazy about coffee, and the city is full of trendy coffee shops. It’s difficult to make a decision about where to go. Of course our Vancouver Spotters picked the cream of the crop – the coffee we had at Revolver, Matchstick Coffee and Kafka’s was excellent. And STRONG!

The beach & parks

You don’t have to leave the city to enjoy nature in Vancouver. 5 minutes into the huge Stanley park, and you feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere. We even encountered some wild animals we’d never seen before – still don’t know what they were!

We walked for many miles down the coast, and along the great beaches where it seemed the entire city of Vancouver was sunbathing…

Meeting our Vancouver Spotters

Our Spotter Pamela was super kind to invite us all to her house and garden in the beautiful Mount Pleasant area. The plan was just to have a pre-dinner drink, but the Spotters had brought food from the best spots around Vancouver.

And lots of craft beer and homemade Sangria… What a nice evening – thanks so much Vancouver team!

Next stop: Seattle!
