It is a scientifically proven fact that Levi's 514 corduroys, circa 1975, were the best pants ever made. But it is also a sad fact that as years go by they're increasingly hard to find at thrift stores. This is where Bobby's comes in: whether it's 514s or another beloved, hard-to-find vintage item you're after, Bobby's is likely to have them.
Leather jackets, new old stock blue jeans, vests, suspenders, old uniforms, bow ties, rep ties, scarves, broken-in brogues polished to a high shine - Bobby's features all of these and more, in a high-ceilinged space packed to the gills with vintage menswear. There's also a small selection of women's clothing in the back room, near the hats. Did I say hats? Bobby's has those too, of course, in myriad styles.
Whether your decade of choice is the '20s or the '70s, you're likely to find something you have to add to your wardrobe: it's safe to say that without Bobby's, I would not own any flashy plaid pants.
