It might come as a surprise, but even the coldest months of the year do not change a New Englander's love for ice cream. More so if the ice cream comes from a homegrown favorite like J.P. Licks - they will queue up for scoops. From a humble start in Jamaica Plain, J.P. Licks has spread to many corners in the Boston area today. What remains intact though, is their staunch devotion to yummy ice cream. And we can never get enough.
Whether it is a quick ice cream date, or a summer outing with family, J.P. Licks is the answer to all cold, creamy cravings. While I'm partial to their coffee ice cream, I've relished their chocolate and coconut ice cream too. Their monthly flavors are worth a trek to the nearest outlet. Apart from ice cream, one can find sundaes, cakes, pies, coffee, sorbets, smoothies and yogurt at this creamery. Many a time when I'm looking to have a little something after dinner, I know where to head - no questions asked.
