A cozy, welcoming venue, Piattini is a wonderful place for a first date or a dinner out with close friends. If it's a nice day out, enjoy a glass of wine and a pasta dish outside on the patio while watching the bustle of Newbury Street. If you're looking for more of an ambiance, ask to be seated inside at one of the gorgeous copper-topped tables or order a craft cocktail at the well-stocked bar.
Piattini offers a wonderful array of small plates meant to be shared by the table. As a cheese fanatic, I highly recommend the Misto Formaggio, a selection of imported cheeses and fresh bread, and the Burrata, which is creamy cheese enveloped in -you guessed it- even more cheese, accompanied by fresh greens to make you feel slightly less guilty. If you're looking for something lighter, Piattini also offers a large seasonal selection of salads, seafood, and vegetable dishes.
If you're planning on a dinner date at Piattini, I recommend that you make a reservation as it can be quite busy on some evenings. Or, if you prefer to play it by ear, you can always take a leisurely stroll down Newbury and get some shopping done while waiting for a table. Either way, a pleasant evening is in store!
