COCO Donuts Brussels – Treat yourself!

Being from the American continent, donuts hold a special place in my heart. As I was trying to integrate to the European lifestyle, I'd been opting for pain de chocolat to fulfill my cravings. That was until COCO Donuts appeared in the Brussels scene.

There are so many reasons why I love COCO Donuts. The obvious first reason is the fabulousness of their donuts. They have nothing to do with processed American-chain donuts. Freshly-made every day, the little round guys are what they call “gourmet donuts” - made with organic ingredients. You can choose between typical Belgium frosting flavors such as cuberdon and, of course, spéculous. There are so many delicious flavors to choose from (and different ones every time I go), it really makes ordering a heartbreaking moment.

I also like visiting COCO’s for the prettiness of the place. It’s pink, woody, girly and cosy. They have a small terrace (with donut-shaped cushions on the chairs) located on a small street adjacent the glamorous and well worth-visiting Grand Sablon square. COCO Donuts is just the perfect place for an afternoon sugar boost, a donut (or two - no judgment!) and meeting among girlfriends, a first date... Or you can just swing by to order a box of donuts-to-go and you’ll be sure to have an excellent day!

They also make holiday-themed donuts, which is very festive. Particular shootout to the yearly Halloween edition!
