I love to ring this bell, because LoveBug Vintage can both satisfy my shopping cravings and fuel that '90s nostalgia I suffer from, like most Millennials do.
I like to take a peek in the courtyards of nice buildings, and this is how I found LoveBug the first time.
Sometimes I reserve a slot in my agenda just to come here and take a look at their new pieces. From Friends to Stranger Things, including iconic sweaters from the 80s and passing between loads of rock bands tees & pins, LoveBug Vintage is simply a joy to explore.
Budapest used to be a capital for second-hand hunters. Now that the city has gotten more westernised, it's harder to find something exquisite. Violetta, the founder of LoveBug Vintage, is a former fashion journalist and designer who loves to collect original clothes. "Our mission is to provide a home feeling to our customers" she explains. When I ask what makes LoveBug Vintage unique, she answers: "an open heart". I want to add "an open dialogue", as her Instagram and Facebook pages inform followers about offers, prices, and life events!
Now that her first creation, the shop, is already 10 years old and she's busy as a neo-mum, she still keeps welcoming everybody to LoveBug: office workers, teenagers, vintage lovers, grunge or "techno princess" as she calls her, are the fauna of this picturesque and labyrinthic store of wonders.
