After a successful stint on Vitkovics Mihály street as Wild Flower Bar, the team behind the project decided to move to a new home and tweak the concept a little, in line with their customers’ needs. The new shop is called Plante and is located above Blitz.Konyha, on Madách Imre square, also known as the hipster central of Budapest. (The entrance is through the restaurant, do not hesitate to enter and take the stairs to the right.) There is nevertheless nothing over-hyped about their approach, they are still the same kind and competent people who will guide you through all your plant-related worries and give sound advice on which candidates are best suited to survive your (lack of) gardening skills- as a former plant killer extraordinaire, I can again reiterate that all the plants bought from them are in tip-top shape.
The one major change is that they are now exclusively focused on potted plants, which means that the variety on offer is larger, but they will still organize the seasonal cut flower (tulip, daffodil) markets come spring. The new space is perfectly suited for a plant shop, with large windows that provide natural light all day long, and they still stock a selection of organic cosmetics and small decorative items, plant-related, but not only. They are also organizing workshops, as before, with calligraphy and modern macramé ones planned for the autumn- the exact dates can be found on their Facebook page.
