If you like Harry Potter, this is a must-visit place in Budapest! The restaurant welcomes you to a magic world of Harry Potter and beyond with a wide hall and a bar with a self-stirring pot, funky clouds and lightning on the ceiling, and paintings on the walls. It does not look like Hogwarts, but rather a medieval castle where each part has a reference to an event or a place in J. K. Rowling's books, be it the Goblet of Fire, flying broomsticks, traveling portal fireplace, or the talking hat. You can even find magic wands and duel with them. The staff wears outfits that resemble those of Gryffindor students.
Apart from the interior, the food is also kept in style. But beware, in order to get your order you need to tell at least one spell from Harry Potter. The magic food and drinks include but are not limited to various smoky 'potions' (the drink are served with thick smoke coming out of the glass or a cauldron if you order a jar), butternut beer, Hagrid giant's burger (it is really huge), Black magic burger in the black bun (no artificial coloring, the bun is colored by cuttlefish ink), Kraken's prey (black pasta with shrimps) or Orc treat magic waffle.
Tip: Reserve the table in advance, as the place is popular. I needed to wait some days to get a table for a Saturday evening.
Fun fact: They also have an escape room right next to the restaurant.
