Before becoming the Chisinau museum, the building was a water tower, hence the shape of the building. Unfortunately, the museum is not well equipped with much descriptive information about the city, however it can be quite interesting to see photos of the old city's glory. Nevertheless, the museum offers a great surprise to each guest by opening up a very nice panoramic view of the city by accessing the terrace on the top floor.
For a full experience, don't take the elevator, but use the spiral staircase instead. Visit each floor and have a glance into Chisinau's history. Once you get to the terrace, make sure to do the full tour of the handrail and take a moment to observe how different architectural styles combine in the modern Chisinau. My favorite is the view over Valea Morilor park.
