When I really like something, be it music, a clothes brand or a restaurant, I turn into some kind of missionary, trying to tell everyone how great it is.

With 1980, it was very easy to convince my friends to love the place. We often meet there for a snack, coffee or light dinner, because the atmosphere is really nice and the food delicious. 

1980 offers a great selection of Vietnamese Banh-Mi (french Baguette turned into sandwiches with salad, vegetables and beef, shrimps or other delicious fillings) and other Vietnamese snacks from Pho to salads with mango and pomelo.

It is also the only place I know in Cologne that serves the original Vietnamese coffee with its distinctive chocolate note and sweet condensed milk, either hot or iced. Try it with a piece of cake and you will be in sweet heaven.
