KU.BE Copenhagen

Playful culture and community house

"The architecture is twisting my brain and inviting my body to move and play in new ways and the folks working there are always kind and helpful."

The intention behind KU.BE is to play with the borders between culture, health, and movement, and it’s like the entire building is inviting you to think new thoughts and reassemble everything you know into new constellations.

Personally, I love everything about the house. The architecture is twisting my brain and inviting my body to move and play in new ways. The folks working the front desk and the café are always kind and helpful, creating such an inviting vibe. The variety of offerings on the calendar is pretty impressive as well: an intimate jazz concert, parkour training for kids, author talks, science lectures, and the biweekly community dinners – it’s a long list of activities.

Located only a two-minute walk from Flintholm Station makes it super easy to visit this gem. The house is great for both kids and adults - explore the quirks and surprises spread across the floors! You can bring your own food or take a break in the café - the soup of the day is 85DKK, and a cup of tea is 32DKK. Many different people and groups use the house, so there’s also the possibility of striking up interesting conversations.

Behind the building is a really cool park, just as creatively laid out as the inside. KU.BE is an architectural, intellectual, and cultural playground, and I hope you will accept the invitation to play.

Tutten

As Danish as it gets

"Tutten" in Copenhagen has probably the best smørrebrød in town. Some of the city's restaurants are good but nothing comes close. A truly Danish experience
