Located in Rathmines, Blackbird is a dimly lit, dive bar delight. Whenever I'm around the area I try to stop here for a drink as I love nothing more than enjoying a craft beer by candlelight (you know what they say, it's always 5 o'clock somewhere). The atmosphere inside this place is cozy and elegant. It's perfect for taking pictures and making everybody think you're in a million-dollar VIP bar, even though the prices are college-student-friendly! You can indeed get the best of both worlds!
Blackbird is also my ultimate bar choice when looking for a place to spend the evening with my friends and chat for hours. If the conversation is dying but you want to keep drinking, grab a board game from their ever-expanding collection and have a game night while listening to their infinitely cool playlists (or just leave everybody hanging and go play some Street Fighter in their arcade machines. Just kidding, there is a two-player option).
Thinking about where to grab dinner but don't want to lose your table at this super cool place? In Blackbird they have food deals too. A super-tasty pizza and a pint will set you back only 12 euros. So just order your meal and pint and enjoy it in their sizable (and heated!) beer garden, which, to make it even cooler, is dog friendly!
PS: Craft beer is cool but drinking it responsibly is even cooler.
