I am passionate about sweets and desserts. It was in Dublin that I became addicted to donuts as well. I love all the different flavors and decorations they have and like many other people I eat with my eyes first. That's why when I discovered The Hot Donut in the heart of Dublin city center, it was love at first sight. The window filled with pretty donuts caught my attention instantly, but the smell of fresh donuts seduced me even more. It turns out that at The Hot Donut the donuts are homemade and freshly baked daily.
What makes The Hot Donut different from other donut shops is not just the homemade baking vibe but the natural and fruit-inspired flavors. You can find donuts filled with strawberry jam, mango and passion fruit with a touch of powdered sugar on top, or my all-time favorite donut in the world, filled with cherries and chocolate and with a crunchy touch of icing sugar. There are also flavors for chocolate lovers, such as Raffaello or Oreo. Also at The Hot Donut they have a wide selection of vegan donuts, and believe me, they are delicious. Some of my favorite flavors are apple and cinnamon, pumpkin spice, or salted caramel (this last one is a must-try!). They offer vegetable milk for coffee, so it’s very vegan friendly. The donut selection changes daily and there is always a special donut of the day that will be cheaper than the rest. Don’t miss out!
