This up-and-coming neighbourhood in the west of the city is an absolute delight for foodies whether you want to eat out at one of its wide variety of restaurants or you fancy cooking up a storm at your accommodation, there is something to cater to everyone's taste.Â
Whether you want authentic Chinese Hot Pot at Xiangbala, modern Scottish cuisine at First Coast, Regional Italian delights at the excellent Locanda De Gusti, Tapas and Mezze at La Casa or anything in between, you are sure to find an eatery that meets your fancy and your budget in this lively little local neighbourhood.
It is also home to a wealth of different food shops boasting a Thai, a Mediterranean, and a Chinese supermarket as well as a Polish, Italian and Spanish delicatessen. It also has two craft beer shops both with an excellent selection.Â
I like nothing better than taking a walk down Dalry road to do a little shopping then stopping off somewhere to people watch. If it's early in the morning I might nip in to Chapter One for one of their excellent coffees and fabulous lorne sausage rolls, later in the day it might be to enjoy some Tapas in La Casa or the Black Hoof. This is a neighbourhood full of character with a real buzz- I highly recommend paying it a visit.Â

I had Mushroom and Thyme soup that was astonishingly delicious and homemade Apple and Rhubarb Crumble with Creme Pat Custard that was to die for.
