Hop on a bus or take a 30 minute stroll out of the city to Morningside; a well-heeled, leafy suburb of the city and home to The Dominion: a classic old cinema that has had a luxury make-over. This is not your average multiplex, and for no more than you would pay at your local Odeon you can expect complimentary crisps on your way in to a screening where you will get a seat on a large leather sofa, complete with a foot rest, all the leg room you could ever want and a small table for your snacks and the glass of beer or bottle of wine you might have purchased at the concession stand on the way in.
This place is an absolute delight to visit--especially after a long day in the city. It feels like stepping back in time and gives a feeling of the glamour of the golden age of Hollywood with a Scottish twist. If there is ever a film that I really want to watch at  the cinema, this is the venue that I like to come to.
