About me
I am an artist/dancer/freelancer, originally from Los Angeles, California. I began traveling at age 17 and feel like I have been traveling ever since (naturally, I’m a Sagittarius). I like to say that, in 2015, I fell down a rabbit hole here in Florence. Other than traveling, the things I treasure are: farms and farmers’ markets, cooking/hosting dinners with friends, tasting/learning about wine, discovering new places, dancing, spending time in gardens, and walking in the hills in and around Florence.
Why Florence
I originally found myself in Florence in 2015, when I came to study at the Accademia di Belli Arti for what was supposed to be 6 months. I have been in this city, “più o meno,” since then. I love the endless sense of mystery that characterizes this labyrinth-like place. Though, after a few years, Florence has come to feel very familiar, there is always something –a stone wall of freshly bloomed wisteria, or the sound of an operatic sigh from a nearby building, that keeps my take on this city incredibly fresh, that renews my attention to the beauty in it all. There is so much sensory richness to experience, and it is available to us all– as long as you are willing to look.
