Like often happens, I discovered Birrificio Mostodolce by chance, because it was on the way between my old job and the train station. Sometimes I used to walk that street with a colleague of mine and we’d be thinking “What a nice place! We should definitely go there for a beer after work!”…but we kept forgetting about it for almost a year, until we finally decided to go there at the end of last July, before leaving for August holidays (yes, in Italy many offices are shut for most of the month).
Once there, we tried out this artisan beer, brewed in Tuscany and made with chestnut honey: it was great! Its name is “Martellina” and it is pretty strong (7.2%), but ever since then I keep recommending everybody to go to Mostodolce and give it a go.
They also have a kitchen there, so if you feel like having a pizza or a sandwich, it may still be a good option.
