The Grüneburgpark is one of three parks in the Nordend and a green oasis with some very extraordinary trees, such as the Giant Sequoia tree.
The park was in private possession before, then opened for the public and has become a really nice park for children as there is an arrangement of water fountains and a big adventure playground.
Even without children, I think it’s the nicest park in the Nordend for sporty as well as relaxing activities, such as jogging, sunbathing, having a picnic or going for a little walk on a warm summer evening. One of my colleagues attends the boot camp at the garden taking place twice a week.
In the evening in summer the men playing boule at the Platanus alley in front of the old orangery give me a Mediterranean feeling.
Although I am really passionate about the city of Frankfurt and my neighbourhood, I think it has a special feeling to it being able to walk through a green oasis and unwin a little.
